Carrie Baker
MSN, APRN-RX, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC
Carrie’s education includes a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Radford University, a Master’s of Science in Nursing from Hawaii Pacific University and a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Post Graduate Certificate. Carrie is dual certified as a family and psychiatric provider. She is currently enrolled with Frontier Nursing University’s Doctorate of Nursing Practice Program.
Carrie has over 20 years of experience in the medical field, in positions ranging from a home health aid to her current role as a Nurse Practitioner. She began her career as a Registered Nurse in the U.S. Army, where she served as an OB-GYN nurse at Fort Riley Kansas and Fort Bragg, North Carolina as well as a staff nurse at the 10th Combat Support Hospital in Baghdad, Iraq.
Carrie is passionate about early intervention and using primary care as a venue to minimize medical interventions to help patients achieve their best possible level of health. It is here, where she discovered the importance of mental health for her clients. She adamantly believes that without proper attention to one’s mental health, whole health is difficult to achieve.
When not working, Carrie enjoys all things outdoors with her husband and two children, particularly exploring the trails of Oahu, running, swimming and biking.
