This includes medication management, therapy, and coaching for lifestyle modifications. We also have genetic testing available to find the right medication that could work for you.  We will work together to assess your goals, consider the best approaches to meet them, and continue to find ways to improve yourself, relationships, work, and overall life. We can work in a fluid and flexible fashion to enhance your life.

We utilize internet/smart phone application based follow-up appointments with an easy to use, HIPAA-compliant website from the comfort of wherever you are. We are skilled to treat many psychiatric issues. Follow-up appointments are simple and easier.

We work with clients on all islands.  Our initial visit will be in person or over the internet with follow-up appointments over the internet and periodic in-person appointments.

Bradley Kuo, M.Ed., MSN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC

Bradley is Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.  He has a Masters of Education in Counseling.  He works with our patients to complete medication evaluation and on-going management.  Bradley is one of the first Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) providers in Hawaii and has watched as this type of therapy has changed lives.  Bradley started Wellness Partners Hawaii, Inc in March 2018 after seeing a great need for providers across the State of Hawaii.  His vision included more mental health providers to meet the growing need and awareness of mental health issues in the lives of the community members around us.  Bringing awareness and decreasing the stigma of mental health is important to Bradley and important to Wellness Partners Hawaii, Inc.  

Jess Logan, LCSW, PMH-C

Jess Logan, LCSW, PMH-C has worked in the mental health field for 10 years and strives to provide a safe, supportive and caring environment for clients. Jess believes that therapy can help people of all ages to gain a greater awareness of themselves and their own abilities. She works with adolescents and adults and specializes in maternal mental health, LGBTQ populations, stress management, anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief and trauma. In addition to her clinical training through a Master's program at New York University, she has a specialized certification in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International.When Jess isn't working, she loves exploring various trails and beaches, and spending time outdoors with friends and family.

Katelyn Jones, PMHNP-BC

Katelyn is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 5 years of experience working in mental health. She started her career as a Registered Nurse on an adult inpatient psychiatric unit where she cared for individuals in crisis. Her experience includes working with adults with acute and chronic depression, anxiety disorders, grief, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, substance use disorders, and PTSD. She currently works with adults to provide ongoing medication management. She strives to foster a therapeutic relationship with her clients so they feel heard and understood. She has lived in Hawaii for 3 years now and feels at home here. She enjoys hiking and spending time at the beach in her free time.

Mary has over a decade of experience in providing services to vulnerable people when they need help the most, as well as when they want to maintain a level of stability. Anxiety, depression, grief, and adjustment disorders are some of the reasons why individuals and couples have reached out Mary for support. She has extensive experience in working with survivors of trauma and domestic violence. 

Chelsea Wong, PsyD

Chelsea Wong is a licensed clinical psychologist. Born and raised in Hawai‘i, she received her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology, Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from Pacific University in Oregon. Dr. Wong returned to Hawaii and completed her predoctoral internship at Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Indian Health of Minneapolis. Dr. Wong has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. Her professional interests include working with diverse and underserved populations, palliative care, grief and bereavement, and historical and intergenerational trauma. Dr. Wong is also an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, JABSOM.

Wellness Partners Hawaii Inc. is the first nurse practitioner owned and operated tele mental health clinic started by Dr. Bradley Kuo in the state of Hawaii. Our diverse team is comprised of psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, psychologist, licensed clinical socials workers, licensed marriage and family therapist as well as licensed mental health counselor. All of our nurse practitioners have prescriptive authority in the state of Hawaii for your medication needs. All of our therapists are trained and qualified to assess, diagnose and help treat mental health concerns. We work together as a team to provide the best combined care treatment for you. 

PROVIDER TYPES

PSYCHIATRIC MENTAL HEALTH NURSE PRACTITIONER (PMHNP)

Degree: Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

Training: Nursing school, clinical training and certification

PHMNPs focus on helping our patients cope with different psychiatric disorders and illnesses, including anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, mood disorders, substance abuse etc. primarily through medication management. Our PMHNPs possess a strong sense of empathy to understand their patients and provide specialized care. Our PMHNPs all have prescriptive authority to address your medication needs in the state of Hawaii.

PSYCHOLOGIST (PSYD.)

Degree: Doctor of Psychology (PsyD.)

Training: School of psychology, clinical work and post-doctoral fellowship

Psychologists hold one of the highest levels of education amongst healthcare professionals. Psychologists have professional and clinical training to help people learn to cope more effectively with life issues and mental health concerns. On top of psychotherapy, psychologists may also perform psychological tests and assessments to further diagnose a condition or tell more about the way a person thinks, feels, and behaves. 

LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER (LCSW)

Degree: Master of Social Work (MSW)

Training: Graduate training plus min. 3,000 hrs. of supervised clinical work

Each LCSW practices various types of therapeutic modalities and may have different areas of focus to address issues involving mental and emotional health. Our LCSWs work with their patients to find out what strong natural skills and talents they possess that can be used as a launching point to tackle issues causing hardship in the individual’s life. LCSW's framework approach is very holistic. They will take into account not only the individual's emotional and psychological makeup, but also societal and environmental factors as well.

LICENSED MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST (LMFT)

Degree: Master in Psychology (MA/MS) with emphasis in Marriage and Family

Training: Graduate training, practicum and min. 1,000 -3,000hrs. of supervised clinical work varied by state

LMFTs practice various types of therapeutic modalities with an areas of focus more specifically on the relational and interpersonal dynamics within families, marriages, and couples. With a more specialized field, LMFTs focus on a wide range of topics such as premarital, relationship, separation, childhood, and divorce counseling, as well as more specific conditions like depression, anxiety, and other psychological issues within relationships and families.

LICENSED MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR (LMHC)

Degree: Master in Psychology (MA/MS) with emphasis in Counseling Psychology

Training: Graduate training, practicum and min. 3,000 hrs. of supervised clinical work

LMHC offers a broader scope of mental health counseling and intervention that focuses primarily on the needs of patients as individuals with the purpose of improving mental health, though they may also work with families and in group settings. LMHCs work with the client on an internal and individual level ensuring the client’s focus is on what they can do within their life to change things.

Carrie Baker, MSN, APRN-RX, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC

Carrie’s education includes a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Radford University, a Master’s of Science in Nursing from Hawaii Pacific University and a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Post Graduate Certificate. Carrie is dual certified as a family and psychiatric provider. She is currently enrolled with Frontier Nursing University’s Doctorate of Nursing Practice Program.

 

Carrie has over 20 years of experience in the medical field, in positions ranging from a home health aid to her current role as a Nurse Practitioner.  She began her career as a Registered Nurse in the U.S. Army, where she served as an OB-GYN nurse at Fort Riley Kansas and Fort Bragg, North Carolina as well as a staff nurse at the 10th Combat Support Hospital in Baghdad, Iraq.  

 

Carrie is passionate about early intervention and using primary care as a venue to minimize medical interventions to help patients achieve their best possible level of health. It is here, where she discovered the importance of mental health for her clients. She adamantly believes that without proper attention to one’s mental health, whole health is difficult to achieve.

 

When not working, Carrie enjoys all things outdoors with her husband and two children, particularly exploring the trails of Oahu, running, swimming and biking.

Dave Fields, MSN, APRN, PMHNP

Dave Fields is a board-certified  Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who provides medication management to adolescents and adults. Dave grew up in Hawaii, and graduated from Mililani High School. He attended Northwestern State University of Louisiana  for his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio for his Master of Science in Nursing, with a specialization in psychiatry. His background includes treating adults and adolescents with psychiatric disorders in the inpatient as well as the outpatient settings.

 

In his free time, Dave enjoys watching anime, traveling and hanging out with his dog Gary.

Tania Lynch, MSN, MPH, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Tania Lynch, MSN, MPH, APRN, PMHNP-BC is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.  She started her nursing career working in Emergency Psychiatry and in Emergency Departments, where she recognized a high need for quality and accessible psychiatric care for many individuals.  This prompted her to pursue her certification as a PMHNP, and she embraces working with clients of all ages and various psychiatric conditions and needs.  She has experience working with diverse clients, and welcomes the opportunity to understand how each client’s unique life experiences have impacted their mental health and approach to mental wellness.   She is passionate about partnering with clients to meet them where they are at, and assisting clients to establish and reach their own goals for mental wellbeing.

 

Prior to becoming a nurse, Tania served on active duty in the Army and has been associated with the military community for over 20 years.  She has a special interest in working with veterans, active duty and family members.  She is also passionate about providing quality maternal mental healthcare and appreciates the opportunity to support women struggling with the spectrum of issues to include infertility, loss, pregnancy and postpartum struggles. She is currently a fellow with The Integrative Psychiatry Institute and is excited to provide education and insight on holistic approaches and resources, in conjunction with conventional psychiatric care.

 

In her free time, Tania enjoys time with her family, exploring nature, traveling to new places and is committed to life-long learning.

Dr. Abbie J. Neves, PhD, APRN-Rx, PMHCNS-BC

Dr. Abbie J. Neves is Board Certified as a Child-Adolescent Psychiatric-Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist and is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with prescriptive authority. Her education includes training in Advanced Play Therapy and a Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD Degree in Nursing from University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. Her dissertation was entitled “The Butterfly Effect - The Essential Structure of the Lived Experience of College Students who are Family Members of Veterans with PTSD Who Served in the Iraqi-Afghanistan Armed Conflicts: Intergenerational Trauma.”

 

Dr. Neves is an Assistant Professor at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa School of Nursing. She has over 15 years of experience providing psychiatric mental health services to children and adolescents of all ages and cultures. She is experienced in psychiatric diagnostic evaluation, psychiatric medication evaluation, medication management, and various modalities of therapy. Although medication is optional, if a patient chooses medication as part of their treatment plan, she uses Psychotropic Pharmacogenomic Testing in order to help patients select a medication with the least amount of gene-drug interaction. She incorporates complimentary-alternative therapies into her practice and her approach is holistic, compassionate, and non-judgmental. She is passionate about improving the mental health of Hawaii’s keiki and their ‘ohana.

 

Dr. Neves was born and raised in Hawai’i and is the proud mother of 4 children and grandmother of 7 grandchildren with whom she spends her free time with. Her hobbies include art, music, reading, nature immersion, swimming, and playing with her many fur and feather babies.

In her free time Taylor particularly enjoys spending time with her family, including their two French bulldogs (Daisy and Olive).  She also values the opportunity to travel, good food shared with friends, and binge-watching television.

Amber grew up here in Honolulu, Hawaii. Growing up in Hawaii has helped Amber mold her into the fun, loving spirited person that she hopes will make a tremendous impact with the Wellness Partners Hawaii ‘ohana. Her experience with working in customer service and healthcare over the last 7 years make her eager to continue her passion of helping others. In her free time, she loves to use her creative energy to sew. You may also find her in the kitchen with her son, cooking up new recipes to try together.

Pamela Morgan

Pamela Morgan started her medical career in 1976 where she graduated from Western Medical as EMT and Medical Assistant.  Her experience is with emergency medicine with Snyder Ambulance in Van Nuys California and internal medicine.  For a short term she worked at Adventist Health, Glendale, CA in the emergency department as a Unit Associate and at Dignity Senior Living as a Care Coordinator for the Memory Care side and medication distribution, along with interacting with social workers, case managers, physicians, and families.  Her heart has always been as a Medical Assistant.

Pamela is a lifelong student and has attended Glendale Community College off and on from 1994 to 2017 with multiple disciplines and course completions in Aviation, German, Real Estate, with general Education in Art, Accounting, Mathematics, Computer Science, and of course ongoing Health Administration courses.  During the late 1988 to 2000 she took a break to be a mother and wife.  She moved to Hawaii March 2020 to finish out her career in the medical field and retire here with her dogs.  She enjoys the beach, church, volunteering,  and food.

We partnered with Brain Health Hawaii to offer personalized repetitive TMS (PrTMS) to provide functional brain assessment, brain enhancement & restoration as well as performance enhancement. PrTMS is a non-invasive, drug-free brain treatment that is FDA cleared for treatment of Depression, Migraine headaches, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
