Jodi Johnson
LCSW
Jodi received her Masters in Social Work from Hawai'i Pacific University and has been practicing across Oahu for 15 years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Jodi is experienced in working with infant/mother pairs, adolescents, individuals, couples and geriatrics. We are rational beings experiencing a range of emotions and have an innate desire to avoid suffering and live abundant lives. Seeking support is courageous. Jodi hopes to be a secure-base for allied exploration and focus toward emotional wellness.
Emotional health is as significant as physiological health, perhaps even more so. We're familiar with the concept of placing an oxygen mask on ourself before assisting others in a flight emergency. Our emotional wellness is primary to all other aspects of ourselves, as our head leads our body. We accept the necessity of regular medical checkups. Mental health also requires attention and advocacy. Therapy can be time consuming and challenging, as uncomfortable emotions and thoughts often arise. However, long-lasting benefits beyond symptom relief are the reward. When you need extra support, outside perspective, expert guidance, someone you trust, are comfortable talking to about difficult subjects and intimate secrets, a partner in your journey; Therapy requires this bond. Take time to find your right person.
