LeAnn Neilson
MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC
LeAnn Neilson is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Hawai'i on the big island of Moku O Keawe. She originally began her career as a licensed massage therapist and holistic alternative therapy specialist before earning her nursing degree in 2012. LeAnn earned her master’s and post master’s certificate in psychiatric mental health from Walden University while working in psychiatric nursing providing crisis intervention, inpatient and outpatient care.
During her time as a hospice nurse here in Hawai'i for our kupuna (elders), LeAnn realized how difficult it could be for patients to receive mental health treatment when needed, and seeks to fill this gap for people in the Hawaiian islands.
She looks forward to providing exceptional mental health support and treatment in a convenient and comfortable setting through telehealth services. LeAnn provides a holistic form of care with a focus on balancing mental, physical, and spiritual health through the use of a variety of healing arts: nutrition, lifestyle changes, boundary setting, and supportive medication.
In her downtime, she enjoys being with her family and friends, playing with her many pets, and working on creating a loving, sustainable, off-grid home.
